Attention Deficit Disorder Treatment

A chronic disorder that can begin in infancy and continue through adulthood, Attention Deficit Disorder is a syndrome characterized by persistent inattention and/or hyperactivity that affects an estimated 3 to 5 percent of school-aged children. Additional symptoms include forgetfulness, impulsiveness and distractibility. If you experience any of these warning signs, we strongly urge you to consider undergoing a diagnostic evaluation.

At Alpha Behavioral Care, P.A., we are committed to providing best-in-class care for children, adults and families with ADD or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). As part of our dedication to promote mental health and general wellbeing in our patients, we have brought together a multidisciplinary staff of medical professionals and a broad spectrum of mental health services to form our Attention Deficit Disorder Clinic.

We understand the pain and difficulties that come with ADD, but more importantly, we understand how to treat it. After a full diagnostic evaluation which includes an assessment of your medical history, mental and physical health, and the extent of your symptoms, we create a treatment strategy that's unique to your symptoms. Treatment options include behavioral modification, medication, Neurofeedback, Biofeedback psychotherapy, and social therapy.

Although there has been a lot of controversy about the use of medications such as Ritalin to treat ADD, many have proven considerably beneficial when prescribed correctly. To that effect, we monitor our patients' symptoms after treatment to adjust the strategy and develop a program with the fewest side-effects and highest efficacy possible.

We are proud of our long and distinguished tradition of providing first-rate ADD care and continuing education. Our doctors are always at the forefront of the latest research in ADD medicine and use the most up-to-date methods and technology to provide our patients with compassionate, top quality medical care.
